The Gymkhana Department of our College plans, undertakes, organizes and manages all the sports related activities. It is headed by the Director of Physical Education who is assisted by a committee known as the Gymkhana Committee whose membership is critically selected for ensuring brilliant performance in that sphere of activities. Mr. Shaikh Aiyaz Hussain is presently holding the reins of this Department as its Director under whose meticulous planning and execution, the College has accomplished exclusive sporting laurels.
Our College was nominated by the SPPU Pune City Zonal Sports Committee as the host of all its sporting activities and events to be held during last year with the Principal Dr. Aftab Anwar Shaikh as the President of SPPU Pune City Zonal Sports Committee and The Director of Physical Education Dr. Shaikh Aiyaz Hussain as the Secretary of Pune City Zonal Sports Committee, both of whom are also nominated as the member of University Board of Studies. On account of excellent and outstanding performance of our college as the host of University sports, this year too, our college was re‑nominated as the host of SPPU Pune City Zonal Sports Committee. We, as the host has successfully co-hosted 48 Inter-Collegiate events in which over 250 colleges and institutes participated by fielding over 8000 sportspersons. Out of these 8000, 807 sportspersons were selected to represent Pune City Zone in the Inter‑University events.
The Gymkhana Department promotes sports by encouraging guaranteed participation of our College students in all the events conducted by the Pune City Zonal Sports Committee(PCZSC) of S.P.Pune University.  In addition to this, the College has organized Inter‑Collegiate Football and Boxing events on a regular and continued basis, an activity for which it has always earned appreciation and accolades from the PCZSC.
It is due to this involvement, our College Football and Boxing team has been inspired and motivated to emerge as the best in the Pune City during the last decade. Their performance is explained in the form of graphics below.
Apart from these, the College has also exhibited commendable performance in the Inter-Collegiate Weight-lifting event too. For inducing competitive and sporting spirit in the general student community, the College organizes the Annual Sports Competition on a very grand scale in almost all the popular events, also involving those for which the College doesn’t possess the required infrastructure and the same is accomplished by hiring. Every constituent of the College is represented in this Annual Sporting event by their active participation.
In addition to these, the Gymkhana Committee holds the additional responsibility of conducting the Independence Day, Republic Day, Maharashtra Day celebrations and Annual Prize Distribution function on a magnificent scale.
